Dr. Janice Chan
Dr. Chan is a Bay Area native. She attended the University of California, Berkeley where she majored in Integrative Biology. Following her dream to become a dentist, she attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry and earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS).
After dental school, Dr. Chan completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at Highland Hospital — a University of Pacific School of Dentistry affiliated program in Oakland, CA — where she received extensive training in surgical procedures and comprehensive dental care.
Dr. Chan strongly believes in staying current with continuing education, taking over 300 hours of advanced training each year. She recently completed the AAID Implant Maxicourse — a 300-hour comprehensive implant education course in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is passionate about helping you achieve your oral health goals through comprehensive, compassionate dentistry.
Dr. Chan has participated in Give Kids A Smile Day, Special Olympics, Mission of Mercy projects, and CDA Cares. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and going to the beach with her husband and daughter.
Dr. Chan is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Clear Aligners, California Dental Association, and Berkeley Dental Society.
